The expertise was prepared as part of the “Rio 20plus on the ground” project conducted by the IZT (Berlin) on behalf of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety and the Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt. It aims to provide empirically operational variables for monitoring the innovativeness of local and regional sustainability initiatives. Read here. November 2022 – October 2025

Within the framework of the guideline for the funding of projects on the topic of "Exploring Regional Factors for Innovation and Change - Strengthening Societal Innovative Capacity" under the funding measure "REGION.innovativ", the project consortium is researching transformative capacities, i.e. the societal capacity based on various innovations and the activation of regional innovation systems to initiate and shape transformation processes.

Within the framework of the working group "Energy transition of the built environment" in the academy project "Energy Systems of the Future" (ESYS), ISInova accompanies the processes for the preparation of an expert report with action paths on the topic of the built environment.

September 2023 – January 2024

Against the background of the enormous potential and importance of out-of-home catering, the awareness of politics, society and the media for the economic and social importance of the out-of-home market is to be raised on the basis of current figures and the social dimension of this hospitality sector is to be elaborated.

October 2023 – September 2026

As part of the funding guideline "The digital municipality - supporting interactive, participatory and data-driven planning processes", the project consortium is researching the participatory involvement of children and young people in hybrid municipal planning processes using a gamified mixed reality platform.
