Evaluation of the training program of the Mediation Center in Frankfurt (Oder)

Duration January 2003 – September 2003

Project Manager Jana Rückert-John

ISInova has been evaluating the Mediation Center in Frankfurt (Oder) since 2003. The Mediation Center is a XENOS project, which has been financed by the EU since 2001 and will expire next year. The project has set itself the task of strengthening and promoting tolerant coexistence in the border region on the Oder, which is characterised by a variety of social problems. To this end, various sub-projects are being carried out, such as the training of mediators and conflict controllers in schools, tolerance training with citizens of the region and networking activities. The aim of the evaluation is not only to check whether the objectives have been achieved, but also to draw up recommendations for the further design of the project after the XENOS funding has ended.
